Dr. Bob Davies, President of Murray State University, announced that the Board of Regents approved at their recent meeting his recommendation to extend the contract of Director of Athletics Allen Ward. The one-year extension means Ward’s contract now runs through June 30, 2019. Allen Ward joined the Murray State athletics department as its director on March 30, 2005.  Since his arrival, there has been a prevailing theme that symbolizes his administration: steady and significant progress.
