MTSU fired head volleyball coach Matt Peck. “After an extensive review of the volleyball program and declining results the past four seasons we felt a change in direction was needed,” athletics director Chris Massaro said in a news release. “We want to thank Matt for some of the success he has provided our program over the years and wish him the very best in his future endeavors.” Associate athletics director Diane Turnham will be the team’s interim coach while the department conducts a nationwide search for Peck’s successor. Turnham was the Raiders’ coach from 1982-87 and again from 1992-94. Massaro said he felt the timing of the firing was good and that it gives the athletics department time to search for a new coach.
