MASSACHUSETTS MARITIME ACADEMY

Garin Veris, a member of the New England Patriots for seven seasons and the current Associate Director of Athletics at the University of Massachusetts Boston, has been named as Director of Athletics at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Veris’s appointment, which begins on November 30th, was announced earlier today by Massachusetts Maritime President Admiral Francis X. McDonald. “I am extremely pleased and excited to welcome Garin into the Academy family,” Admiral McDonald said of Veris. “He has extensive experience in and incredible knowledge of intercollegiate athletics, and his track record of success in creating and developing new resources and opportunities is impeccable.
