Maryville University Vice President for Athletics and Recreation Marcus Manning announced that Collin Lanam has been selected as head women’s basketball coach. Lanam spent the last three seasons as an assistant coach for the Saints men’s basketball team. A native of Crawfordsville, Ind., Lanam graduated from Wabash College in 2006. He served as the junior varsity head coach and varsity assistant at Crawfordsville High School for the 2005-06 season. He also was an assistant for the post-graduate team at Lee (Maine) Academy for the 2006-07 campaign. Lanam worked as the graduate manager for the men’s basketball team at Southern Illinois before assuming his position at Indianapolis. He has worked numerous basketball camps across the country, including Reebok and Nike camps, as well as prominent schools like Purdue, Baylor, Texas and Southern Methodist.
