Malone has named Rick Tice the university’s new women’s basketball head coach. Tice has spent the past five seasons as an assistant coach with the program. A 1986 Malone graduate, he also has served as the Pioneers’ assistant athletic director for the past year. He will maintain his administrative role in the athletic department. “Coach Tice knows first hand how important a coach can be in the lives of his or her players,” Malone Athletic Director Charlie Grimes said in a statement. “As an alumnus of our athletic department, longtime assistant coach and current administrator, Rick will intentionally care for our student-athletes, positively motivating them to be the best they can be both on and off the court.”
Tice served as a men’s basketball student assistant and an assistant coach at Malone under former head coach Hal Smith. –cantonrep.com– Read More
