Before becoming LSU’s interim head coach early in the 2016 season, Ed Orgeron was making $610,000 as the Tigers’ defensive line coach. This season, his third as LSU’s full-time head coach, Orgeron already has racked up bonuses worth more than that. And if the Tigers go on to win the College Football Playoff championship, he will end up with at least $1.7 million in incentive money.
