Loyola University Chicago head women’s basketball coach Sheryl Swoopes has announced the hiring of Mahogany Green to her coaching staff. A 12-year coaching veteran, Green, a native of Toledo, Ohio, will serve as an assistant coach. Green arrives in Rogers Park following a three-year stint at the University of Kansas as an assistant coach. One of the highlights in Green’s time in the Sunflower State came in 2012-13 when she was part of the coaching staff that led the Jayhawks to their second-straight appearance in the Sweet 16 en route to a 20-14 overall finish.
