Kean University has named Jack McKiernan the new Director of Athletics and Recreation, as he becomes the University’s seventh athletic director in school history. McKiernan, who has been serving in an acting capacity, begins immediately. McKiernan has been at Kean since 2000 when he was hired as the Sports Information Director. He was promoted to the Associate Athletic Director position five years later and held that title until this past July when he was tabbed as the Acting Athletics Director after the departure of Chris Morgan in July.
