Following a long list of resignations and firings in its recent history, Jackson State University’s James Renick resigned as the school’s provost Monday.  Renick will be replaced by Evelyn Leggette, associate vice president for academic affairs. The university would not comment further on the transition of the school’s provost. Before becoming interim provost in 2012, Renick served as President Carolyn W.
