Wheeler Brown has been promoted to Jackson State University’s director of athletics. Brown had held the position on an interim basis since Oct. 1. Vivian Fuller previously held the post, but was reassigned in February to the university’s student affairs office. Brown had served as JSU’s associate athletic director for compliance.
