Wheeler Brown, JSU’s interim athletic director, sat down with The Clarion-Ledger this week and offered some updates on where things stand with those situations and other matters within the athletic department. That included his hope to remove the interim part of his job description, and the role former athletic director Vivian Fuller still plays at Jackson State. Brown said he’s enjoying his time as interim athletic director, but has his eyes on the permanent role.
