Indiana State’s public forums for its four Director of Athletics finalists started Monday with a candidate who had the advantage of speaking on home turf. Interim Director of Athletics Angie Lansing has worked in the ISU Athletic Department since 2006, but of course, as a Hall of Fame cross country and track-and-field runner, has an association with the Sycamores that goes back to the mid-1990s. Lansing has seen the athletic department from the perspective of athlete and administrator and seeks to put that perspective to work as she seeks the permanent position. Lansing spoke to a full room at Hulman Memorial Student Union 421 on Monday morning. Given her home-field advantage status, many of those in the room came to offer moral support for Lansing, who is a popular figure in ISU’s athletic department. -Todd Aaron Golden, Tribune-Star, Read More
