The first of Indiana State’s four public Director of Athletics forums on Monday featured a familiar face as interim athletic director Angie Lansing took her turn. Starting with Tuesday’s session, however, the tone of the public forum changed to a getting-to-know-you format. The other three candidates aren’t intimately familiar with Terre Haute and vice versa. Air Force Academy associate athletic director George Nelson Jr. took his turn on Tuesday. Nelson has been Air Force’s associate athletic director since 2006 and also had a stint as assistant athletic director at the Colorado Springs, Colo. service academy from 2011-14. Nelson had a brief opening statement and spent most of his session fielding questions from a group that was nearly as large as it was for Lansing on Monday.
