Illinois has hired longtime college coach Jody Martinez as an assistant women’s basketball coach, replacing one of the central figures in a lawsuit the program faces from former players. Martinez brings 17 years of NAIA head coaching experience with him at Southeastern University and Bethel College. He will work with post players and assist in recruiting at Illinois.
