Harvey has already dropped a record amount of rain in the Greater Houston area, and it is only expected to get worse. This obviously will impact the start of college football season, but we are much more concerned with the human impact. Even so, athletic departments often serve as the symbol of their community, and as such, are relied upon to amplify messages in catastrophic situations.
As a service to our affected colleagues, we are publishing tweets and messages from area universities and athletic departments so that we can all be informed on their well-being and how we might be able to help. If you have any additional information or news releases, please send them to mail@collegead.com and we will be sure to push them out through our social media feeds. And as always, you can help those affected by Hurricane Harvey by visiting http://redcross.org. You can also call 1-800-RED CROSS or text HARVEY to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
