Tom Dickman resigned as the men’s basketball coach at Hood after 12 years, the last two of which he spent holding the dual roles of head coach and athletic director. Dickman will stay on as Hood’s AD. An announcement concerning his successor as men’s basketball coach will be coming soon, he said. One of Dickman’s greatest players was Terence Morris, who led TJ to a Class 3A state championship in 1997 before going on to star at the University of Maryland and play in the NBA. – Greg Swatek, FrederickNewsPost.
