In a letter to the Harvard Athletics community, Claudine Gay, The Edgerley Family Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, today announced the formation of the search committee for Harvard’s eighth John D. Nichols ’53 Family Director of Athletics. Bob Scalise will have served as athletic director for 19 years when he retires in June and will continue to serve as an advisor on athletics to Dean Gay throughout the 2020-21 academic year. “I am deeply grateful to Michael D. Smith, John H.
