Chris Monahan has been named as an assistant coach at Gwynedd Mercy University. Most recently Coach Monahan was the head boys basketball coach at Radnor High School for five seasons. Despite being one of the smallest schools in the state’s highest (AAAA) classification, his teams twice qualified for District playoffs – school firsts for that classification. During his tenure at Radnor he developed several players who moved on to play collegiate basketball. Coach Monahan grew up in the Philadelphia area, playing in the Philadelphia Catholic League at Archbishop Wood, graduating in 1994. He has an Engineering degree from Lehigh University and an MBA from Pepperdine. Coach Monahan continues to work at Radnor High School as a Business Education teacher.
