Lacrosse head coach Tracy Coyne will resign after spending five years with the program, according to a press release last week. “The Colonials lacrosse program has a very bright future and its people will always hold a special place in my heart,” Coyne said in the release. Coyne joined the program in 2014 and brought with her 26 years of Division I head coaching experience at Roanoke College and Denison and Notre Dame universities. She led her teams to eight conference championships and 12 NCAA Tournament appearances. “We appreciate Tracy’s years of service to our GW student-athletes and our community,” Tanya Vogel, the director of athletics and recreation, said in the release. The University will begin a national search for the program’s next head coach “immediately,” according to the release. -Emily Maise, The GW Hatchet. Read More.
