Furman University has reached the final stage of its search for a new athletic director. The final three candidates are Mike Buddie, associate athletic director at Wake Forest University, Janet Cone, athletic director at the University of North Carolina-Asheville, and Alan Verlander, former athletic director at Jacksonville University. Each candidate interviewed earlier this week on Furman’s campus. No rigid timeline is set for the completion of the search, but the administration’s decision is expected by the end of next week.
