Leslie Schuemann has stepped down after a year-and-a-half run as Fresno Pacific’s athletic director. Schuemann is leaving to become the associate commissioner of the Heartland Conference, an NCAA Division II league based in her home state of Texas. Schuemann came to Fresno Pacific in July 2012 as senior associate athletics director and was promoted to director of athletics in January 2014 as the replacement for Dennis Janzen. A university news release said a national search for Schuemann’s replacement will begin immediately.
