As a proactive precaution for Tropical Storm Nestor, FAMU Athletics has confirmed Saturday’s football game between the Rattlers and North Carolina A&T has been rescheduled from Saturday to Sunday. Thursday evening, members of Florida A&M and N.C. A&T and MEAC Commissioner Dennis Thomas, met on a conference call to discuss the possibility of moving the game to Sunday. The conference office and Florida A&M’s Department of Athletics officially confirmed the change in scheduling on Friday morning. “Based on the latest information and projections we have received regarding Tropical Storm Nestor, we feel it was necessary to ensure the safety of everyone involved,” FAMU Director of Athletics John Eason said. -Rory Sharrock, Tallahassee Democrat.
