Eastern Washington University will host three public listening session this week as it begins the search for a new athletic director. The first public forum will be held Monday from 6-7 p.m., in Room 122 of the EWU Center on the school’s Spokane Campus. Search Committee co-chairs Scott Gordon, the university provost, and Judge Jim Murphy, a member of the Board of Trustees, are seeking feedback from the public – including alumni and supporters – on what they hope to see in a new AD. Gordon and Murphy will also host a campus constituent listening forum Wednesday from 3:30-5 p.m., in Patterson Hall, Room 110 on the Cheney campus. The third session also will be in Cheney, Thursday night after the EWU-Montana basketball game. That meeting will take place from 8-9 p.m., in the Reese Court Wrestling Room. The Search Committee will hold its first formal meeting to review feedback and discuss its timeline and process for future meetings on March 16. –Spokesman-Review, Read More
