Eastern New Mexico University President, Dr. Steven Gamble, has announced the selection of Dr. Greg Waggoner as the new athletic director of ENMU. Waggoner brings plenty of experience to the position, serving as AD for Western State Colorado University for 20 years. A press conference will be held at Greyhound Arena on Friday, June 3 at 10 a.m. MST to introduce Dr. Waggoner to the school and community. Waggoner served as Western State’s Director of Athletics from 1994-2014. During his time as athletic director, Western State won 11 NCAA Division two (DII) national team championships, 97 national “top ten” team finishes, and 32 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) team championships.
