The Culture of Sports: WIAC Leaders Part I
The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) is unique in many ways, all contributing to its being a premier Division III sports conference. A major part is that all eight of its members are located in Wisconsin, leading to fierce interstate clashes. In part one of a three-part series, The Culture of Sports host Jonathan Yates sat down with University of Wisconsin River Falls, athletic director Crystal Lanning and Wisconson La Crosse director of athletics Kim Blum. Lanning just completed her first year at UWRF while Blum has served as the Eagles AD since March 2015. Lanning and Blum are the only female athletic directors in the WIAC.
