Former Boston College assistant Preston Murphy has been hired as an assistant coach with the Creighton Men’s Basketball program, head coach Greg McDermott announced. Prior to his return to BC, Murphy spent four years at his alma mater, the University of Rhode Island. Murphy was an assistant coach with the Rams from 2010-14 before being promoted to the role of associate head coach in the spring of 2014. Murphy replaces Patrick Sellers on the Creighton staff after Sellers took a similar position at DePaul in May.
