Larry Scott knows that a lot of people expect him be on the front lines of the fight to expand the College Football Playoff. “I completely get that,” the Pac-12 commissioner told a small group of reporters on Thursday. “(Expansion) would really release the pressure of being the one that’s been on the outside looking in most for the first six years,” Scott said. “Because we’d automatically have our champion. But we also have agreements through 2026 that I think would be very challenging for us to all agree and amend, how we’re going to change.” For the past year, high-ranking college athletics officials have had myriad conversations about expanding the four-team College Football Playoff.
