USA Today on Monday published its annual listing of athletic department revenues and expenses for the fiscal year 2017-18. Texas tops the list as the Longhorns generated $219,402,579 in revenue while its expenses topped out at $206,554,432. Rival Texas A&M is second on this year’s list, generating $212,399,426 but the Aggies expenses only totaled $165,782,418. Ohio State was the third and final program to generate more than $200 million in revenue as the Buckeyes closed FY 17-18 with $205,556,663 in revenue, Michigan was fourth generating $195,769,104 and Alabama closed out the top five with $177,481,937 in revenue. UConn was the top revenue-producing Group of Five program generating $79,308,421 in revenue.
