College AD has obtained an internal email detailing the final steps in the UC Riverside athletic director search. In an attempt to cause less turmoil, given certain responses from previous leaks, we have redacted the sender’s name.
Good Afternoon,
The search for a new Director of Athletics is moving forward and the Chancellor anticipates having two candidates visit campus prior to the end of May. Athletics will be allocated two hours for each candidate and that time will be earmarked for head coaches (45 minutes), a group of select administrators (45 minutes), and I will meet with each candidate for the remaining 30 minutes. As the dates are confirmed, they will be shared immediately with all of you so please adjust your schedules as needed in order to participate in this important search process. The names of these individuals will be released just prior to their day-long visits to UCR.
