Cleveland State athletic director Mike Thomas confirmed Tuesday night he has given the university his resignation, effective Dec, 31. Thomas said the decision, “has a personal component to it.”He plans to move and begin teaching and consulting at multiple universities in the Charlotte, N.C., area. “My family is migrating south,’’ he said. “I’ve got some consulting opportunities I was approached about, so I’m going to move forward, and also teach in college. I’m going to be in college athletic consulting, which is what I was doing before I came to Cleveland State. I intend to be teaching on various college campuses.” Thomas said he will be available to help with CSU’s transition to finding a new AD prior to his departure. He was hired in February 2017.  -Elton Alexander, The Plain Dealer, Read More
