Wednesday afternoon Cleveland State University announced Michael Thomas as their new athletic director. Thomas will assume the position March 1, and will work in conjunction with John Parry until his retirement in June. Thomas’ first stint as an athletic director was with the University of Akron in 2000, and has since held the position at Cincinnati and the University of Illinois. The Cauldron sat down with Thomas as well as CSU’s Chief Marketing Officer Rob Spademan to discuss Thomas’ view of the university and his plans going forward.
The Cauldron: As you come to Cleveland State as our athletic director, what do you see as our best asset going forward?
