Alumni, parents and friends of the Bucknell University athletics program came together and showed their true dedication and loyalty during the One Herd One Day giving challenge in mid-April, raising more than $530,000 in 24 hours for the program. For the third consecutive year, more than 2,100 donors participated in the challenge, raising nearly $1.6 million during that span. “One Herd One Day was a great example of the tremendous pride and passion our alumni, parents and friends have for the institution and in particular for our athletics programs,” said Jermaine Truax, director of athletics and recreation. For the third year in a row the football program garnered the top spot in terms of dollars raised, finishing at $67,351. The men’s soccer ($52,215) and spiked shoe programs ($48,846) rounded out the top three. The men’s golf program led the way with an “average gift size” of $851. Read More.
