Bowling Green and former football coach Mike Jinks agreed to a buyout figure, Falcons director of athletics Bob Moosbrugger confirmed Wednesday. The athletic department will pay him $375,000 to end an agreement that originally ran through the 2020 football season. Moosbrugger said he and university president Rodney K. Rogers were comfortable with the amount of the buyout, to which Jinks agreed after gaining employment elsewhere. Jinks, whom Bowling Green fired in October after 2½ seasons in charge, was hired Tuesday at Southern California. Jinks will be in charge of the running backs for coach Clay Helton and will reunite with Kliff Kingsbury, whom USC hired as its offensive coordinator after Kingsbury’s firing at Texas Tech. – toledoblade – Read More
