Belmont University women’s basketball coach Cameron Newbauer plans to stick around for a while. Fresh off his first winning season and an NCAA Tournament appearance, Newbauer agreed to a five-year contract extension through 2020-21. The school announced the deal Thursday morning. The 37-year-old Newbauer is 52-47 in three seasons since he was hired. His 2015-16 team went 24-9, won the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament and earned a No. 13 seed in the NCAA Tournament. – David Boclair, Nashville Post. Read More.
