Avila University is proud to announce the promotion of Cristina Cowan as the Director of Athletics on a permanent basis, effective immediately. Cowan joined the athletic department in November of 2013 as Assistant Director of Athletics/Senior Woman Administrator, and was named Interim Director of Athletics when Brandon Johnson vacated the position to become the Vice President for Enrollment Management & Athletics back in November of 2014. Johnson said that the move is the right one for the university, and the department going forward.
