The Auburn Board of Trustees and five key school officials, including university president Jay Gouge, athletics director Jay Jacobs and associate athletic directors David Benedict and Rich McGlynn, are named in the civil suit brought by Matt Davis, who was fired this February from his manager position at Tigers Unlimited. The civil action, filed in U.S. District Court Wednesday, charges Auburn officials with four counts of violations, including charges of violating his First Amendment rights, depriving Davis of his equal protection rights and violations of the Alabama State Whistleblower Act, after Davis was fired for presenting evidence of seating discrepancies in the Auburn ticket service. – Matthew Stevens, Montgomery Advertiser, Read More
