The Alabama State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced that Kevicia Brown has been elevated to Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Services this afternoon. “We are elated to announce that Ms. Brown will serve as the Assistant AD for Academics,” Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Jennifer Lynne Williams said. “Since her arrival on campus she has been a tremendous asset to our student-athletes and department. Ms. Brown is committed to assisting our student-athletes with excelling in their academic endeavors, as well as life after sport.”  Brown previously served as the academic advisor for multiple sports; including baseball, women’s basketball, softball, bowling, golf (men and women), soccer and tennis (men and women). She also assisted with general support to all of the student-athletes at Alabama State as part of the Student-Athlete Support Services (SASS). In her current role she is responsible for the management and oversight of Student-Athlete Support Service’s operations for all student-athletes and providing leadership to academic advisors, support staff, tutors and student workers that support student-athletes in the pursuit for academic excellence, and overall welfare.  – Read More
