Adams State University men’s basketball coach Louis Wilson has announced the addition of Alamosa native, and 1993 Alamosa High School graduate, Russ Caton to the coaching staff for the 2014-15 season. The newest addition of the staff is a former collegiate basketball player who began his career at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colo, but soon transitioned to the NCAA Division I level with Southern Utah University. Caton concluded his collegiate career at Adams State after transferring to Alamosa for his senior year. While at Adams State, he played for and later became an assistant coach to current Adams State Athletic Director, Larry Mortensen.
