Four Atlantic Coast Conference football games – Louisville vs. Alabama on Sept. 1, Miami vs. LSU on Sept. 2, Virginia Tech at Florida State on Sept. 3, and Penn State at Pitt on Sept. 8 – will be televised in primetime as announced by ESPN. The ACC will be prominently featured on ABC and ESPN in college football’s opening weekend, beginning with Louisville’s game against defending national champion Alabama in the Camping World Kickoff on Saturday, Sept. 1 on ABC at 8 p.m.  The neutral site meeting in Orlando, Florida, is just the fourth matchup between the two programs since the Cardinals won 34-7 in the 1991 Fiesta Bowl. A day later, Miami and LSU meet Sunday night in Arlington, Texas, at 7:30 p.m. on ABC in the AdvoCare Classic. Both the Tigers and Hurricanes are ranked in ESPN’s “Way-Too-Early Top 25”, with Miami in the top 10 following last season’s ACC Coastal Division Championship. Read More
