After announcing Tuesday that he will retire from his post, William and Mary Athletic Director Terry Driscoll sat down for a media gathering and said, “It’s not over yet. I still have to work for nine months.” The retirement of Driscoll, the longest-tenured athletic director in the Colonial Athletic Association at 21 years, will be effective June 30. His successor has not been announced, and Driscoll said he will work with the new AD for a month or two during the transition. Driscoll was an All-American basketball player at Boston College and the fourth player taken in the 1969 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons. The grandfather of five said the timing was right for retirement and William and Mary’s athletics program is well-positioned for the future. –vagazette.com– Read More
