Veteran journalist writer David Teel, who has a strong sense of the ACC’s pulse, wrote earlier on Monday that momentum is building for a nine-game ACC schedule and that he believes Syracuse athletic director John Wildhack could have a key voice in the ultimate decision. The league’s athletic directors are scheduled to meet in Chapel Hill, N.C. on Wednesday and Thursday. High on the priority list will be deciding whether to switch to a nine-game conference schedule in football, continue with eight games or delay a decision. Switching to a nine-game schedule would require votes from eight (of 14) athletic directors. Based on previous votes, Teel counts five schools in favor of eight games and six schools in favor of nine. That leaves three unknowns, including Wildhack, who have the potential to swing the conversation. – Chris Carlson, syracuse.com– Read More
