UNC Pembroke men’s basketball head coach Ben Miller has announced the addition of Griffin Pittman as an assistant coach for the Braves. A Charlotte native, Pittman played in 118 games (83 starts) for the Braves from 2011-15 and helped lead the Black & Gold to a cumulative 79-43 (.648) record that included a pair of trips (2012-13, 2014-15) to the NCAA Tournament, as well as a share of the 2014-15 Peach Belt Conference East Division crown. Pittman, who averaged 8.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists over his collegiate career, shot better than 40 percent from the floor and played 26.4 minutes an outing as well. Hoop Dirt. Read More.
