COPPIN STATE UNIVERSITY

Coppin State hired alumnus DeWayne Burroughs as women’s basketball coach. Last season, his first as head coach at the University of the District of Columbia, he led the Division II Firebirds to a 21-9 record; he’d been on UDC’s staff since 2011. Burroughs previously coached at Chesapeake College, Bowie State, Woodlawn, St. Paul’s School for Girls and Northwestern. He also coached Maryland Freeplay, an Amateur Athletic Union team. Read More.
