Nate Stewart, currently the director of athletics at Eastern University in St. Davids, Pa., has been named the new athletic director at Valley City State University.  Stewart replaces Jack Denholm, who resigned after six years to become the athletic director at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa. Stewart will begin his duties on July 29. A native of Christiansburg, Va., Stewart has been athletic director for one year at Eastern University, an NCAA Division III school.
