Sources tell College AD, University of Illinois Springfield will name current UTSA Deputy Athletic Director Jim Sarra, the University’s next athletic director. Sarra has served as deputy director of athletics at UTSA since 2009. UIS narrowed its search to four finalists earlier this month. We are told UIS will officially make the announcement this week. In March, UIS AD Kim Pate announced she would accept the position of Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina.
