Georgia State men’s basketball coach Ron Hunter formally announced Monday that Sharman White will be joining his staff as an assistant coach. White, a highly-successful high school coach at nearby Miller Grove in Lithonia, will join the staff immediately. Prior to arriving at Miller Grove, White coached at Georgia’s Carver High School and in his final season, was named the 2004 Georgia Class 2A Coach of the Year after leading Carver to the regional title and the state championship game.
