Oakland basketball coach Greg Kampe finally received good news today. After a month of disappointment — losing in the Horizon League tournament, in the Vegas 16 title game and most recently his star point guard Kay Felder to the NBA — Kampe received reassurance with a three-year contract extension through the 2019-20 season. Kampe and athletic director Jeff Konya began discussing the extension a few months ago and the final step came today when it was presented to the Oakland Board of Trustees. -Mark Snyder, Detroit Free Press– Read More
