Judging by the small size of the crowds that attended UW-Milwaukee men’s basketball games at the UWM Panther Arena, one would assume a tepid response to the recent firing of coach Rob Jeter. The backlash, however, has been so angry and unrelenting that athletic director Amanda Braun, who initially said she would be unavailable to the media until after she hired Jeter’s replacement, was in full damage control mode Tuesday.
