UTSA athletic director Lynn Hickey is exploring the idea of a refurbished on-campus baseball facility. Hickey, who wants to know whether it’s feasible to build a 2,500-seat stadium around Roadrunner Field, has enlisted an architect to prepare a schematic design and cost estimate for a major upgrade at the team’s current site. Last fall, an athletics administrator floated an idea about UTSA becoming part of a proposed shared-use facility downtown with the San Antonio Missions.
