BYU may not be in one of the “Resource 5” conferences that get the headlines for their fat TV contracts but Cougar athletic director Tom Holmoe said his department had a “great” financial year last year. “That’s a tribute to our fans getting behind the team and the people who raise money,” Holmoe said Friday in his semi-annual roundtable meeting with local reporters. “It’s also the connection with ESPN and such. I’m just feeling very fortunate that for a year we made a jump.
